About Larchmont, NY
Larchmont is a village in the town of Mamaroneck, NY with a population of 6,118. The earliest known settlers of the Larchmont area were Siwanoy Indians. In the 1600’s, the Dutch and British began buying up the land, and very few of the Siwanoys remained. In the early 19th century, Larchmont became known as a summer resort for New York’s elite. Since then, the village has developed into a prosperous suburban village, catering to many wealthy families. As of March 2018, Larchmont was named the 24th wealthiest place in the United States, and as of 2005 was ranked 11th on a list of 100 best places to live in the United States.
